Token / Cryptocurrency

It is digital money that only exists on the internet. You can use it to buy things, pay for services, or receive it as a reward in games or apps. Example: Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that you can use to pay for products on some websites, and PHA-PTS are used as rewards for completing exercises.

Wallet

It is a programme or application where you store your tokens or cryptocurrencies. It also allows you to send and receive them securely. Example: MetaMask or Trust Wallet are wallets that allow you to store your tokens securely and use them in different applications.

Blockchain

It is like a digital ledger where all transactions are stored securely and visible to everyone. Each page of the ledger is a ‘block’ and all blocks are connected to form a ‘chain’. Example: If you send a token to a friend, the transaction is recorded on the blockchain and no one can delete or change it.

Network

It is a group of computers that work together to verify that all transactions are correct and secure. Think of a group of friends who help each other make sure no one cheats in a game. Each friend confirms that what you are doing is correct. Example: When you send a token to a friend, several computers on the network check that everything is OK before completing the operation.
